In WoW's newest expansion, Wrath of the Lich King, Argent Crusade will play a vital role. The early formation of the Crusade will be part of the quests for Death Knights, a new Hero Class in Wrath of the Lich King. So, what makes the faction a force to reckon with? A look back in this faction’s history and formation will tell us that.

In truth, the Argent Crusade is not one faction alone, but is in fact a mix of three already famed and legendary factions in the WoW world. Given that each of these three factions were already powerful in their own right before joining the new faction, it's no surprise that what came out of the union of the three is a group that even the Lich King would think twice messing with. Below you will find the he three factions making up the Argent Crusade. A brief description of each faction is also included.

* Argent Dawn - one of Azeroth's most enduring lawful organizations. The Argent Dawn has kept a watchful eye over Azeroth for the longest time. Anyone can join this faction, as long as they are totally against evil.

* Scarlet Crusade - the strength of this faction lies in the fact that they truly believe in their power or right to rid the world of evil, especially the Undead, to the point that it resembles zealotry. Still, even if their means are dubious, the Scarlet Crusade remains one of the most powerful factions in Azeroth.

* Knights of the Silver Hand - an order of the most powerful paladins, this faction was formed way back during the First War by legendary paladin Uther Lightbringer.

The Argent Crusade is a union of all three powerful factions. The seeds of the faction were formed in the battle for Light's Hope Chapel, where Tirion Fording defeated the Lich King himself and gathered members of the three factions to fight with him. With the enduring strength of the Argent Dawn, the unwavering faith of the Scarlet Crusade, and the might of the Knights of the Silver Hand, the Crusade will bring fear to anyone who dares face it.
